The town of Collingwood, Ontario was incorporated in 1858.  It was named after admiral Lord Cuthbert.  Collingwood who fought in the battle of Trafalgar. Collingwood has a population of around 16000 and is located in the Georgian Bay area.  At one time Collingwood was known as hens-and-chickens harbour.  Since the bay contained one large and four small islands.
