Delaware, Ontario was founded in 1796.  The small village of Delaware is about 10 km. west of London, Ontario.  The village is divided by a ridge running through the middle of town, with locals referring to the areas as Upper and Lower Delaware.  Delaware is also home to Canada's oldest paved race track.
