About Don Mills, Ontario
Don Mills, Ontario was one of the first fully integrated communities of the larger city of Toronto,Ontario. The project began in March 1953 and was built on about 2100 acres of farmland intersecting at Don Mills Road and Lawrence Avenue. Don Mills was innovative in its design with lots of pedestrian paths separating vehicle and pedestrian traffic and all four quadrants have a school, a church and a park.
