About Fort Francis, Ontario

Fort Francis, Ontario is located in north western Ontario.  A popular fishing destination, Fort Francis hosts the Canadian Bass Fishing Championship every summer.  Fort Francis was named after Lady Frances Simpson, who was wife of Hudson Bay Governor George Simpson.  The town of Fort Frances was incorporated in 1903 with it's main industry a pulp and paper mill.
